RPData’s latest research tool is their Pain and Gain assessment of realised gross profit and loss based on home re-sales.
Basically they are looking at the number of sales that attracted a gross loss i.e. they sold for less than they had been bought for.
It’s interesting reading and a good reflection of where the market has travelled over the last 5 years. Almost 17% of sales in Brisbane from January – March were sold at at a loss.
