New Member Of The Jeff Jones Real Estate Family

It's almost always business on here but I will take one little sidebar.

Sienna Eve Jones was born Thursday, 18 November. Thank you to those who have offered their best wishes. A lot of friends and clients read this and have asked for pictures. For everyone else, apologies for the quick distraction and on with the real estate posts!

If we can get her and big brother trained up I might only be 20 years away from retirement!

Trade Jolt At Coorparoo Junction

Frank Dragani invites people to visit Coorparoo Markets.
MORE than 20,000 shoppers are expected to flock to the new food and retail mecca Coorparoo Markets when it opens this Thursday in the old Myer building.

With almost 400 fresh food, clothing and housing goods stalls, the all-weather markets are the centrepiece of a short-term plan to revitalise Coorparoo junction.

Managing director Frank Dragani said the markets would rival any in Brisbane and would prove a boon for the residents of Coorparoo.

Mr Dragani said intensive work had gone into renovating the building and selecting suitable traders.

“We’ve put thousands and thousands of man hours into this and we’ve got a few more to go,” he said.

“We had more than 1700 expressions of interest for the 400 stalls. The traders can’t wait for this to happen. We’re chock-a-block.”

Interesting Opinion :: Reserve Bank rates decision was the 'rise we needed'

Terry McCrann     From: Herald Sun     November 03, 2010 7:29AM

So You Think didn't win at Flemington but RBA Governor Glenn Stevens delivered the rate rise I thought he would.

Three cheers for him and two cheers for Commonwealth Bank CEO Ralph Norris, who promptly added 20 points for his home loan borrowers to the 25 points from Stevens.

Be grateful that both decisions are made by central and commercial bankers respectively -- and not by politicians, and nor for that matter business lobbyists, journalists and editors.

Most of the latter would not have delivered the RBA rise; and almost without exception they would not have added the CBA extra. Indeed, sight unseen, I'm confident the CBA will get a lashing from the media today.

Neither Mr Stevens nor even more so Mr Norris are going to be flooded with "thank you cards" this Christmas. But they should, especially Mr Stevens.
